Position Summary

We are seeking a skilled carpenter to join our team! In this full-time, year-round position, you will perform general carpentry work, including building, installing, repairing, and maintaining structures and furniture. The pay ranges from $25.00 - $30.00/hr , depending on experience.

Essential Duties

  • Build and install door and window framing; install locks, doorknobs, and other hardware
  • Repair and maintain doors, floors, windows, partitions, ceilings, and building exteriors
  • Construct, repair, and refinish wood furniture and fixtures, including cabinets and shelving
  • Maintain carpentry tools in excellent working order
  • Erect, maintain, and dismantle walls and structures
  • Respond to resort work order requests and emergencies promptly and professionally
  • Keep accurate service and repair records
  • Research, purchase, and manage inventory of tools and supplies
  • Train and direct other staff as needed
  • Support department standards, policies, and work practices
  • Perform additional duties as assigned

Education & Experience Requirements

  • Education: High School Diploma or equivalent required; Technical Diploma or associate degree preferred
  • Experience: 2 to 4 years of related experience

Qualifications & Skills

  • Basic carpentry skills, including the ability to read sketches, prints, and diagrams
  • Knowledge of Vermont Building Code and safety practices
  • Ability to take direction and communicate clearly, both written and verbally
  • Willingness to complete required training

Travel Requirements

  • A vehicle will be provided for travel on the mountain. A valid driver's license and successful Motor Vehicle background check are required.

Physical Demands & Working Conditions

This position may require working evenings, weekends, and holidays. To succeed in this role, you must be able to perform each essential duty satisfactorily, with or without reasonable accommodations.
