KEY RESPONSIBILITIES

The Crew Planning Specialist at New Pacific Airlines is responsible for leading and optimizing crew scheduling operations in compliance with Federal Aviation Regulations and company policies. This role involves strategic planning, team leadership, and collaboration with various departments to ensure efficient daily operations, address scheduling challenges, and promote a positive work culture. The ideal candidate will have expertise in regulatory requirements, strong leadership skills, and a commitment to operational excellence. Other responsibilities aligned with New Pacific Airlines include but are not limited to:

  • Safety & Regulatory Compliance: Ensure crew scheduling adheres to FAR 117/121 and company policies, tracking duty/rest requirements, communicate drug test notifications for pilots and flight attendants, while promoting a positive Safety Culture through proactive hazard reporting.
  • Operational Coordination: Manage daily and monthly crew schedules, adjusting for sick calls, delays, maintenance issues, and irregular operations while ensuring regulatory and contractual compliance.
  • Crew Logistics: Coordinate hotel accommodations, car rentals, and flight travel for crew members during scheduled and irregular operations while ensuring cost-effectiveness.
  • Communication & Collaboration: Work closely with Dispatch, Maintenance, Training, and Inflight teams to ensure real-time scheduling adjustments and operational efficiency.
  • Schedule Recovery & Emergency Response: Respond to weather, mechanical issues, and flight disruptions, adjusting crew assignments quickly and effectively while ensuring minimal operational impact.
  • Data Auditing & Payroll Validation: Conduct schedule audits to ensure compliance, assist in reporting fatigue analysis, flight legality, and reserve utilization, and verify payroll accuracy related to flight hours and per diem.
  • Technology Utilization: Operate and troubleshoot crew scheduling software, ensuring accurate trip assignments, payroll processing, and crew communication.

MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS

The successful candidate must be capable of working in a fast-paced environment, have excellent communication and computer skills, and manage multiple priorities and deadlines. Other qualifications include:

  • Must possess a high school diploma or GED.
  • Must have experience in airlines, scheduling, or a related field with transferable skills in decision-making, and time management.
  • Must maintain a high level of organizational skills and have a strong attention to detail.
  • Must possess strong verbal and written communication skills with the ability to collaborate professionally across departments.
  • Must be diligent in understanding instructions and proactively seeking clarity, and effectively applying problem-solving skills to find solutions in real-time.
  • Must display a professional demeanor when collaborating with all departments and roles within the organization.
  • Must have excellent computer skills, including Word and Excel, with high attention to accuracy and detail.
  • Must have a strong safety awareness and the ability to adhere to Safety Management Systems (SMS).
  • Must be comfortable working in an airport environment around odors and sounds typically associated with operating aircraft.
  • Must be able to pass a comprehensive background check and drug test.
