A growing real estate management firm is seeking an Accountant to support the accounting operations for a portfolio of multi-family properties, assist in maintaining efficient financial operations, and ensuring compliance with internal and external reporting requirements. Work hours are Monday through Friday from 8 a.m. to 5 p.m.

Job Responsibilities:
Manage the day-to-day financial accounting procedures for a portfolio of approximately 25 to 30 properties
Prepare monthly and quarterly financial and investor reports
Perform reconciliations of bank and general ledger accounts to ensure accuracy
Assist with month and year-end closing processes, ensure financial statements are completed accurately and on time, and assist in preparing for year-end audits and coordinating with external auditors
Support property managers with basic budgeting and forecasting tasks
Work collaboratively with internal teams to support financial goals
Ensure compliance with regulatory requirements, GAAP, and internal financial controls

Job Qualifications:
A Bachelor's Degree in Accounting or Finance is required, Certified Public Accountant is a plus
Must have a minimum of 3 to 5 years of experience in accounting, preferably in real estate or property management with experience with basic budgeting and financial forecasting
Must be familiar with property management regulations and compliance
Must have a strong understanding of general ledger accounting, accounts payable, tenant billing, along with analysis skills to interpret financial data and provide actionable insights
Proficiency in Microsoft Excel, Word, and RealPage, Yardi, or MRI Accounting software is needed
Must have excellent communication skills and ability to collaborate with team members
Must have strong organizational skills while paying a high attention to detail and the ability to meet deadlines
