At Spring River, children grow up learning outdoors in our  all-outdoor K–8 nature immersion program , then continue into our vibrant  homeschool high school — all rooted in Waldorf-inspired, whole-child education. We are located along Florida’s northeast coastline in a beautiful preserve brimming with life. On inclement weather days, we move indoors, keeping our warm rhythms intact in a cozy church space.

About Us

• K–12 Waldorf-inspired model: From parent-child classes and playgroups through high school, we provide a continuum of education that nurtures students from early childhood into young adulthood.
• 4-day instructional week: Students are on campus Monday through Thursday, with Fridays set aside for faculty meetings, planning, in-service, and work-from-home days — sustaining balance and renewal for our teachers.
• Teaching in Nature: Every day, you’ll teach immersed in the natural world, fostering direct experiences that deeply support whole-child learning.
• Vibrant anthroposophical community: We are deeply rooted in Waldorf philosophy, with a healthy, thriving community of families and educators who come together around seasonal festivals, artistic endeavors, and shared learning.

About The Position

We’re seeking a classroom-experienced, enthusiastic teacher to guide our  rising 4th-grade class , with the intention to loop with them through the grades. You’ll build lasting relationships with students, families, and colleagues, delivering a multi-disciplinary, arts-infused education guided by Waldorf pedagogy.

The ideal candidate will have:

• Two or more years of teaching experience (traditional or non-traditional)
• A Bachelor’s degree (or higher) in a related field
• A commitment to self-development and collaboration
• True excitement to teach in an all-outdoor setting

Compensation & Support

• Competitive salary
• 40% tuition remission for enrolled children , with Florida’s  Step Up for Students Scholarship often covering the remainder (Spring River is a Direct Pay Provider).
• Health stipend to use as you wish
• Paid time off
• Paid professional development, including Waldorf Teacher Training, if aligned
• Each classroom has a dedicated teaching assistant
• Mentoring and guidance through our Collegial Circle, Pedagogical Administration team, and internal student support services
