Work Schedule: Ally designates roles as (1) fully on-site, (2) hybrid, or (3) fully remote. Hybrid roles are generally expected to be in the office a certain number of days per week as indicated by your manager. The Opportunity

This role is on a hybrid schedule and can be based out of our Charlotte, Detroit, or Lewisville offices only. 

The Operational Risk Analyst II will be responsible for assisting in the oversight of the Enterprise Risk and Control Self-Assessment (RCSA) Program. The candidate will document program procedures, conduct analytics and reporting on program results, and monitor adherence to the RCSA Policy, Standard, and Procedures as well as the Operational Risk Management Framework. The successful candidate must demonstrate strong communication skills and be capable of collaborating with Independent Risk Management and Business Lines/Support Functions to assist in sound risk management practices.

The Work Itself

  • Drive monthly Risk Appetite and KRI reporting process, including validation of metrics and creating breach commentary, as needed
  • Assist in developing business requirements, process flows and use cases for GRC tool and Reporting enhancements.
  • Support user validation testing and troubleshooting of GRC tool and reporting enhancements and initiatives.
  • Assist in the development of and perform data validation/data quality checks and manage data validation/data quality process documentation.
  • Effective collaboration and diligent follow up with Business Lines/Support Functions and Independent Risk Management to ensure timely and accurate execution of the RCSA Program, including the escalation of exceptions
  • Assist in the management, communication, and reporting of the Trigger Event process
  • Lead the development of procedural and process documentation and facilitate ongoing updates as required
  • Ensure all owned processes, Standards, and Procedures are kept current, consistent with documentation, reviewed periodically for compliance and assessed against business need and risk appetite framework
  • Analyze data to draw meaningful conclusions and communicate key findings to appropriate parties
  • Assist with drafting executive level presentations to communicate conclusions and recommendations to all levels of management.

The Skills You Bring

  • BA/BS from an accredited university is preferred (Accounting, Business Administration, or Finance major is also preferred)
  • 1+ years’ relevant experience in financial services, e.g. Operational Risk Management, Compliance, or Internal Audit required 
  • Technical and analytical expertise to support development of reporting — MS suite (intermediate Excel and PowerPoint abilities required),
  • Archer experience required
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills
  • Ability to work in teams, adapt to change, troubleshoot, analyze issues and determine root cause are critical skills
  • Working knowledge of risk management components (e.g., policy/procedures, governance, reporting, risk control self-assessments, issue management) in a regulated environment

Base Pay Range

: $55000 – $95000 USDAn individual’s position in the range is determined by the specific role, the scope and responsibilities of the role, work experience, education, certification(s), training, and additional qualifications. We review internal pay, the competitive market, and business environment prior to extending an offer. Incentive Compensation: This position is eligible to participate in our annual incentive plan.
