Senior Structural Engineer (New York, NY)

Position: Full-Time
Successful NYC Architecture & Engineering firm is looking for a Project Manager to work on our largest team, with a team leader who is extremely passionate about what we do. Senior Structural Engineer Qualifications and Experience Needed:
Must have 5 years experience in the design of renovations and new buildings.
Must have at least 2 years of PM experience.
Must have a Bachelors Degree in Civil Engineering.
Must have Excellent Writing skills.
Registered PE is a plus.
Special Inspection experience is a plus.
Knowledge of building codes including 1968 is a huge plus.


Senior Structural Engineer Roles and Responsibilities:
Prepare information regarding specified materials, equipment, estimated costs, and construction time.
Suggest and oversee building testing where appropriate.
Review plans, building drawings and engineering documents.
Investigate problems with machinery and recommend solutions.
Oversee maintenance and repairs where applicable.
Monitor and maintain project budgets.
Represent client as expert witness when necessary.
Participate in board meetings for clients when necessary.
Directly supervise junior Engineers on the Structural Team in accordance with the organization"s policies and applicable laws. Responsibilities include training employees; planning and directing work; appraising performance; addressing complaints and resolving problems.

Since our founding in 1987 we have helped owners, managers, and co-op and condo boards keep their buildings well maintained, operating efficiently, and looking good.
We work on many different types of projects, MEP, Faade, Structural, Architectural, and Forensics. From faade inspections and repair programs, HVAC programs, physical condition surveys, some new development and commercial, lobby renovations, the list goes on. We have all of the disciplines in house, including expediting, business development, client services, so there is truly no building project we cannot handle.
