Catholic Charities Wichita is looking for a compassionate and organized Volunteer Coordinator to lead and grow our volunteer program. This role connects individuals and groups with meaningful service opportunities that support people experiencing poverty, abuse, homelessness, or living with disability. 

Key Responsibilities
  • Build relationships with community partners, work at volunteer recruitment fairs and events, and partner with the marketing team to develop outreach materials for volunteers.  
  • Coordinate orientations, background checks, and training to ensure volunteers are prepared and aligned with our mission. 
  • Match volunteers with roles, manage schedules, and provide ongoing support and recognition. 
  • Maintain accurate records, track volunteer hours, and generate reports for internal use and grant reports. 
  • Collaborate with program staff to assess needs, develop training materials, and enhance the volunteer experience. 
  • Organize volunteer appreciation events and support agency-wide initiatives. 
Requirements
  • Bachelor’s degree preferred 
  • Passion for serving others with dignity and respect 
  • Strong communication and organizational skills 
  • Experience in volunteer coordination or nonprofit work preferred 
  • Proficiency working in office systems, such as Microsoft Office 365 and data management systems and scheduling software 
  • Ability to work flexible hours, including occasional evenings or weekends
