Vintage '59 Imports, is seeking a driven sales representative to service restaurant and retail accounts in the greater DC area (DMV). This position involves representing and selling both our Direct Portfolio as well as the portion of the V59 Portfolio that is distributed by Winebow.

About Vintage '59 Imports
We represent artisanal wine producers from France & elsewhere in Europe, USA, and NZ, both as a direct wholesale in the DMV and California as well as a National Importer working with multiple distributor partners around the country (including Winebow in the DMV). We're a dynamic, supportive company, made up of folks who are committed to building a culture of high-performance in a tight knit professional family.

- You have an approachable and responsive communication style with customers and coworkers alike.
- You have experience in sales in the wine community and know how to network to build your business.
- You reside in the sales territory.
- You are 21 years or older and have a reliable car with a clean driving record.
- You are able to work evenings and occasional weekends to meet business needs, as part of a flexible workweek.
- You have a home office (or alternative available workspace) with reliable cell phone & internet capacity.
- You are looking for a long term professional home.

and even better, if you have:

- Experience selling artisanal European and American wines & spirits at wholesale or other level.
- Foreign language skills, particularly French or Italian.
- A wine certification.
- Familiarity with producers in the Vintage '59 book.

Compensation is primarily commission-based but includes base salary and expense reimbursement. Employees are eligible for 100% company-sponsored health insurance on commencement of employment, and are eligible for SIMPLE IRA retirement saving benefit with 3% company match after 12 months.
